During the design process our focus was to build a saddle that fit a horse correctly and comfortably. With that in mind we used suede covered neoprene foam on the skirts as a shock absorband, while providing a closer fitting saddle with minimal slipping.

During a run, you need to be able to sit down and be deep seated while turning and then be able to get up over your horse quickly between barrels.
